Title: Branching Process Models of Cancer.

Abstract. A continuous time multitype branching process model with
mutation provides a simple mathematical framework to consider questions
about the cancer initiation, progression, and resistance to therapy. We
will describe some of the insights that have been obtained over the last
15-20 years using this approach. Although the proofs are not difficult
we will concentrate on the conclusions and not their derivations. Many
of the early results can be found in item 199 on my publication list. Or
