Abstract: The modeling and computational infrastructure for “complex polymeric materials” has come to a crossroads. The statistical mechanics of polymers, the engineering of polymeric materials, and the chemistry of
pervasive, transient interactions within and between large molecular weight polymers, must now be reconciled.
